How to build an Empire Steam Tank

The Steam tank is fairly easy to make. I made two just out of balsa wood and modeling clay and a few pieces of plastic from other warhammer sets for the decoration. The only thing is it takes quite some time to build. After it is built you can decorate the tank how you like using whatever materials you like.

This is the first Steam Tank I built, it is in the same colours as my army.

Equipment needed:

• Modeling Knife
• Sand paper
• Balsa cement
• Super glue
• PVA
• Tools for modeling the clay (e.g. cocktail sticks)
• Compass

Materials needed:

• 5mm thick 750mm x 100mm balsa wood
• 3mm thick 750mm x 100mm balsa wood
• 2mm thick 750mm x 100mm balsa wood
• 1mm thick 750mm x 100mm balsa wood
• Small amount of modelling clay
• 2mm diameter dowel

(not all balsa wood will be completely used)

Also when you come to decorating the following can be used:

• Paint
• Paint brushes
• Leaf metal
• Scissors (for cutting leaf)
• Clay
• Plastic parts (unused Warhammer pieces)
• Any other things you can think of
